The Smaller of the Flowerbed Enclosures

This enclosure has been underplanted with lavender, thyme, rosemary and lambs ears. While it has a hammock, its main purpose is to get the cats from ground level to the overpass which leads over the path to the main flowerbed enclosure (Cromwell is enjoying lazing about on the steps). In summer it will be shaded by a mop-top robinia, and it also has two climbing roses planted to grow over it.

See a view of this in early spring 2006, taken from a different angle.
