The coast line of Maria Island is amazing. it is rich in ancient rock formations and fossils. In places limestone has leached in great rigid waterfalls from the rock, cascading down to the sea in a myriad of stalagmites. If ever you are offered the chance of a circumnavigation of the island - take it.
